Ok, that was one of the most seriously painfully fun weekends I've (we"ve?) had in a long, long, long, long time.  And it looks like it's going to be an annual event.  So start saving your money, honey, we're doing it again NEXT year.  And keep in mind those off-the-wall skeins of yarn so that we can play the Skein Game again.
Let's see..... Skein Game, Charades, Add-a-Purl/pearl, shopping at the yarn store in Battle Creek, eating a Win Schuler's, Turkeyville and the Dixie Swim Club, the master knitter and her yarn tattoo....  singing Christmas carols, the ghost, knitting, eating, partying, talking our faces off, laughing until we peed our pants... yes, kids.  We had a great time.  And thank you Twisted Groupies for the wonderful, surprising gift to Dale and me.  Wow.  Totally unexpected!  Seed money for next year.  That was amazing.  You guys are the best.  We couldn't ask for a better, or more fun group of women to hang out with.
It was great seeing everyone.  You came from all over to hang out with us, Pennsylvania, Ohio, Indiana, Michigan.  And the hotel...wasn't it gorgeous?  It was just the perfect spot.  Let's hope they let us come back NEXT year.... (that we didn't trash it too much...).

Oh, and a wakeup.  Are ya getting excited out there? Huh, are ya?  There will be 32 of us going to the National House Inn in Marshall, Michigan, for the knit therapy weekend.
6. More. Days. (and a wake-up)

OOOOH Whee!  Snow! Only brave Jean D showed up for Knit Nite last nite.  And she went home early, so we did, too.  The roads were seriously nasty.  Jean says we are the "Peak of her week" and she wouldn't miss it.  Suzanne, you would have been here, too, you dedicated knitters, you...  Actually, we are blaming this snow on you anyway, Suzanne.  Just because YOU got 16 inches of the stuff, doesn't mean WE need that much, ok?  And please to note that there will be NO SNOW on the 19th, 20th or 21st of February.  NONE!  We have people driving from all over everywhere and we want them to come to our Girls' GetAway weekend safely.  Ok?

Yarn it...yarn it....yarn it....   We made it to FOUR (4) years old.  Yes, it's true!   We turn 4 on Sunday.  We will be celebrating with cake, chocolate, of course, on Tuesday at Knit Nite.  Hard to believe that we are going into our 5th year already. 
Thank you, friends, for all of your support and kindness for the past 4 years.  Rock on to the NEXT 4 years.

I love Saturdays....we offer FREE knitting classes every Saturday 11 to 1 pm and we get some of the most fun people in here that learn to knit.  They usually thinking knitting is some odd torture that only someone ELSE can do or even WANT to do.
Today we have a needlefelting class with 5 people.  Our own Sue P. from Hemlock is teaching.  She's awesome!  Does detail work like you just can't believe.  Little teeny tiny things....  it's seriously cool.  Oh, boy. 

COUNTDOWN TO YARNOVER:  26 and a wake up!!!!  (Until we go to Marshall......)

Only 31 days and a wakeup until the Girls' Getaway Weekend (aka GGW or Yarnover, not Sleepover, but Yarnover, get it?) 

We are now officially closed!  That is to say, there are NO MORE ROOMS AT THE INN.  If you didn't get in on this great weekend, you have missed it!!!  There are 32 people coming.  Fun folks!  And cute pajamas, too, I'm told!!

OMG!  The Blog lives!!!!!  Is that like the BLOB lives?  Yeah, I guess it IS, kinda....  we've actually had a (count that as ONE) comment on our blog.  Whoo hoo!!!!  We're on a roll, jelly bean...

Snow.  Then snow. Then more snow.  Blah. It was nice today when the sun was shining.  I even got ambitious and shoveled most of my driveway (no small feat, either).  Then, an hour later, the next door neighbor's adult son showed up with his big ole truck and plowed the driveway completely.  I love Merrill.  The people here are awesome like that.

Dale and I were both off today.... Mondays the shop is closed.  Sometimes we have 4H meetings with our kids.  Not today. Yay.  Love the little buggers but sometimes it's nice that they aren't here.  Thank you all of the Sweethearts in Halters llama club supporters.  You know who you are.....  the people that put money in our 4H bucket every Knit Nite.  The ones that we force pies onto to help raise money for camp.  Thank you.  We have enough funds now for our April Llama Show at Michigan State University AND to go to Llama Camp (www.youthjamboree.net).  Last year was a blast.  And we learned a lot of stuff.  This year promises to be just a great.

Knit Nite:  Every Tuesday starting at 5 pm.  Last week not so many.  Illnesses and weariness.... got the best of us.  I think they didn't come because they were afraid we'd have leftover snacks from Xmas time.  Fooled them!  Dale's philosophy is this....  if either Dale or I bring in something to eat, then we will have lots and lots of stuff.  But if neither of us does, then we have nothing.  One week we all shared 3 Ritz crackers.  It was pathetic.  But one week 3 people brought cheesecake!  Yeehah!  Hit the lotto.  We'll see about tomorrow.

I'm gonna try to keep updating this stupid blog every few days now.  Let me know if you're reading it, ok?

It's now 2:08 a.m. Sunday morning and I think I've figured out how to do this. Maybe.
